I was thinking about doing three short stories all centered in the Navajo Nation. One will take place in the past (around 1940-50), the other in the present or near the time when the reservation leaves the United States, and the other in the future. Each will deal with specific themes, like the future one is "Love". The others are respectively "Revenge" and "Lust".

"Love" (the one I'm working on) is about a little girl staying with her Grandmother in the countryside while her father serves in the army. She and her father move to Japan ( :D ) two years before the separation. Out of political and social fear, she stays in Japan while her newly formed home country deals with troubles from the United States. Years later, she receives a call from home about her Grandmothers death. She packs up, telling her husband and her daughter that she needs to return to her homeland for funeral preparations. This is where the story begins.

I haven't worked out the kinks to "Lust" and "Revenge" yet. I think that this is going to be a interesting read, not just for Native Americans, but for everyone else that's interested in manga and anime. One of the things that I really want to do with this one is to show the world that Native Americans aren't just country pumpkins that cruise around in rez cars that only go backwards, but are like you and me. We love animes and manga. :ugeek:

Well, whatcha think of my idears.

It seems like you have put some real thought into this. When I write I always want to know the beginning and the end as well as the key events in the middle. Everything else is the fun of the journey. I think if you are comfortable with your plot outline you should start fleshing out your idea until you get to the point where you can start adding art. I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

That's great for you! I couldn't work without mine. I only use my .05 for thumbnailing.
